Amanda Newton has been in childcare since 2018. Certified in infant and toddler credentials. Loves animals and children. Her favorite part of childcare is when she sees what she's taught her class come to life. She specializes in toddler development.
Jami KennahDirector, Cheyenne
Jami Kennah, a.k.a. Tiny Human Wrangler, began her journey at Alphabet Academy as a substitute teacher before transitioning to a full-time role in January 2020. Having been a stay-at-home mom for many years, she initially took the position as a way to stay busy after her children started school. However, she soon fell in love with all the little faces, families, and fellow staff members. Jami enjoys working at Alphabet Academy due to its supportive leadership, excellent facility, and collaborative team environment. She has completed First Aid and CPR training, Health and Safety Basics training, as well as Wyoming Early Learning Foundation and Guideline Training. Jami intends to continue her education and training in early childhood education.
Jessica LoydFounder, Director of Schools
With over 23 years experience in education and childcare, Jessica Loyd has always felt called to help young minds grow and develop to their full potential. What started as a simple in-home childcare while she stayed home with young children and helped run her family's farm has turned into three trusted childcare locations in Laramie County. She earned a Master's degree in early childhood and education, holds infant and toddler credentials, and is certified in child psychology as well as in child and adult counseling. She has worked with children of all ages, having spent three years as a secondary Spanish and social studies teacher, as well as homeschooling two of her four children. She possesses a strong desire to create confidence in young minds and ensure all children are ready for kindergarten.
